Terms of Service · version 1.0 · effective 27 October 2026

The terms that apply when you order or apply.

These Terms of Service govern every paid UNIONE™ service ordered or applied for on this site: AI reports, Fellow-delivered reviews, DPC™, Independent Assessment, Structured Resolution and arbitration filing, Adoption Partner certification, the Fellowship and The Paris Assembly™. The Website Terms cover the rest of the site.

1. Who we are

UNIONE™ is operated by the Federation of Integrated Conflict Management, a not-for-profit entity incorporated in India, New Delhi, India ("UNIONE", "we"). You can reach the Secretariat at contact@theunione.org.

2. What these terms cover

Each service page states the scope, what you receive, the fee and the delivery time. That description, any written scope and quote we send you, and these terms together form the contract. Where a service is administered under the UNIONE™ Rules & Procedures v4.0 (arbitration, Structured Resolution), the Rules govern the procedure and prevail over these terms on procedural matters.

3. Ordering and acceptance

  • You order a fixed-price service by completing the form and paying. The contract is made when payment is confirmed.
  • For quoted services (Independent Assessment, DPC™ Comprehensive), we send a written scope and quote after the conflict check. The contract is made when you accept the quote and pay.
  • We may decline an order or application before the work starts, for example if a conflict cannot be cleared, the matter is outside the service, or the information is incomplete. Any fee paid is then refunded in full.
  • When you order without an account, we create a private account for the email you give so you can follow the order. You can close it at any time.

4. Fees, taxes and payment

  • Fees are shown in USD, EUR or GBP and paid by card on Stripe's hosted page. UNIONE™ never sees or stores your card details.
  • Card payments are collected through a Stripe account held by World One Alliance Pvt. Ltd. for UNIONE™. That name appears on the Stripe payment page and on your card statement; the invoice and the deliverable carry UNIONE™'s name.
  • Taxes are added where the law requires and shown on the invoice. Our invoice is issued in the name of the operating entity.
  • Third-party costs (tribunal fees, local counsel, translation, courts, travel) are never included unless the service page or quote says so.
  • Arbitration administrative fees follow the schedule published on the Fees page that is in force on the day the Notice of Arbitration is filed.

5. Delivery

  • AI reports are generated within minutes of payment and shown on your private order page.
  • Fellow-delivered services start after a conflict check, usually completed within two working days. The delivery time on the service page runs from the end of the conflict check.
  • If we cannot meet a delivery time, we tell you in writing with a new date. If the delay is more than ten working days, you may cancel for a full refund.
  • Deliverables are made available under My services or My applications and by e-mail.

6. Your information

  • You confirm that the information and documents you provide are accurate and that you are entitled to share them with us for the service.
  • Do not upload information you are not permitted to disclose. Redact personal data that the service does not need.
  • Our work relies on what you provide. We are not responsible for conclusions that are wrong because the information was incomplete or inaccurate.

7. AI-generated reports and AI assistance

  • AI reports (the AI Contract Intelligence Report™ and the AI Negotiation Brief) are produced by an AI model from the text you submit, on the CIAS framework. They are decision support and can contain errors.
  • The AI provider used is named on the order form and in the AI policy. Text is sent under the provider's business API terms, which do not allow the provider to train on it.
  • For every other service, AI may prepare a first read or a completeness check for the Fellow and for you. A named person makes every conclusion. You can ask for no AI to be used on your documents; tick the box on the form.

8. Fellow-delivered work and independence

  • Reviews, assessments and DPC™ are delivered by a named UNIONE™ Fellow after a conflict check, with a second Fellow reviewing the work before delivery.
  • The Fellow acts independently and takes no later appointment in the same dispute without the informed written consent of all parties.
  • The fee does not depend on any finding or outcome.

9. Certificates and registry entries

  • A DPC™ certificate is tied to the contract version identified by its fingerprint. A later amendment needs a new review.
  • Certificates (DPC™, Adoption Partner, Fellowship) can be checked by anyone on the Verify page and in the DPC™ Registry, at the level of detail you choose.
  • We may suspend or withdraw a certificate that was obtained with false information or is used in a misleading way. The Registry then shows it as withdrawn.

10. Arbitration and Structured Resolution

  • Filing and registration fees cover the Secretariat's registration work and are not refundable once the matter is registered.
  • Registration is an administrative step and is not a decision on jurisdiction or on the validity of an arbitration agreement.
  • Advances on costs are requested under the Rules and held for the matter.

11. Confidentiality

We keep your information and documents confidential and use them only to deliver the service, meet legal obligations and keep our records. Fellows and staff are bound by confidentiality. We disclose information only with your consent, where the law requires, or as the Rules provide.

12. No legal advice

UNIONE™ provides prevention, assessment, research and dispute administration. It does not give legal advice and does not act as your lawyer. Notes and briefs on a jurisdiction are research and decision support, not legal opinions. Advice on local law and representation stay with qualified local counsel; where you need a signed opinion we can refer you to a World Law Alliance member firm.

13. Liability

  • Our total liability for any service is limited to the fees you paid for that service in the 12 months before the claim.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit or loss of opportunity, or for the outcome of any negotiation, proceeding or enforcement.
  • Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

14. Refunds and cancellation

Refunds follow the Refund policy, which is part of these terms.

15. Complaints

Tell us first. The complaints procedure sets out how we acknowledge, investigate and answer a complaint, and how to escalate it.

16. Governing law and disputes about a service

  • These terms are governed by the laws of India.
  • A dispute about a service is first referred to the complaints procedure. If it is not resolved within 30 days, either side may refer it to mediation.
  • If mediation does not resolve it within 60 days, it is finally resolved by arbitration under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules by a sole arbitrator appointed by the Secretary-General of the Permanent Court of Arbitration. The seat is New Delhi and the language English. UNIONE™ does not administer disputes about its own services.
  • If you are a consumer, you keep any right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.

17. Changes

We may update these terms for new services or legal changes. The version in force when you order applies to that order. Each version is dated at the top of this page.
