Clear terms for using our public website
These Website Terms govern your use of the public UNIONE™ website and our public digital resources. They do not by themselves bring any Rules into effect or give anyone jurisdiction to arbitrate.
1. Using the website
The website gives you information about UNIONE™, research, tools, ways to apply or make an enquiry, and access to our services. Using the website does not by itself create a professional, advisory, arbitral or fiduciary relationship with us.
2. Our services
Particular services may be covered by separate engagement terms, fee schedules, application conditions, case procedures or data-processing terms. Where those terms conflict with these Website Terms, the service terms take priority for that service.
3. Arbitration
Any arbitration needs a valid legal basis. That includes the arbitration agreement, mandatory law and the rules actually in force for the matter. UNIONE™ Rules & Procedures v4.0 were adopted by the Global Council in April 2026. These Website Terms do not themselves bring the Rules into effect for any matter.
4. Information and tools
Content and decision tools on the website are general information and decision support. They are not domestic-law advice, a prediction of any outcome, a guarantee of enforcement or a substitute for properly qualified counsel or experts.
5. Our professional community
A Fellowship, a Sector Bench or Council seat, or a directory listing shows standing with UNIONE™, subject to the terms that apply to it. It gives no right to cases, appointments, referrals, clients or any particular work with UNIONE™. The same applies to using the website or any professional-community page.
6. Intellectual property
UNIONE™ marks, our proprietary materials and our original content are protected by intellectual-property law. You may use our model clauses in your contracts, subject to any usage guidance published with them. Any other reuse must follow the rights and permissions stated for that material.
7. Confidential information
Please do not send confidential case material through a public webpage or an ordinary enquiry channel, unless UNIONE™ has named it as the authorised secure channel for that purpose.
8. Liability
Any limit or exclusion of our liability applies only as far as the law allows and is subject to any specific terms for the service concerned. Nothing on the public website excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
