What you receive
- Review of the dispute clause against the DPC™ checkpoints
- Enforcement research for the seat and the likely enforcement countries
- The confirmed UNIONE™ model-clause variant, ready to paste
- DPC™ certificate (PDF) with a unique number tied to this contract version
- Entry in the public DPC™ Registry at the level you choose
Why people use it
DPC™ (Dispute Prevention Certification) reviews a contract before signature or during performance, fixes what would cause a dispute, and registers a DPC™ number tied to that exact version of the contract. Lenders, investors and counterparties can check it in the public Registry.
- Most disputes are decided by the contract long before anyone files a claim.
- A registered DPC™ number shows lenders, insurers and the other side that the contract was checked by an independent institution.
- DPC™ Comprehensive adds a Standing Neutral and early-warning checkpoints for the life of the contract, so problems are solved while the project still runs.
Who it is for
- DPC™ Clause-Only: shorter commercial agreements
- DPC™ Standard: medium-term agreements, joint ventures, supply and distribution
- DPC™ Comprehensive: long-term, high-value contracts and projects
When to order it
- Clause-Only: before signature of any cross-border commercial agreement, or when a template is standardised.
- Standard: before signing a medium-term supply, distribution, services or joint venture agreement, or at a scheduled review point.
- Comprehensive: at financial close of a long-term project or concession, when lenders and partners want prevention built into the life of the contract.
- Any tier: when a lender, insurer or counterparty asks for independent evidence that the contract was checked.
What it is not
DPC™ is prevention and a verifiable record. It does not certify validity or enforceability under any national law, it does not guarantee that no dispute will arise, and it is not a substitute for local-law advice on mandatory rules.
How it works
1. Your matter
You. You enter the matter online and upload the documents; your browser extracts the text and UNIONE™'s own servers run the analysis. Nothing is kept until you submit.
2. DPC™ checkpoints
UNIONE™ software. The dispute clause tested against the DPC™ checkpoints, the right tier and a draft model-clause variant.
3. Confirm and pay
You. You check the plan and pay by card on Stripe's secure page, at the end of the application.
4. Conflict and independence check
Secretariat · 2 working days. The Secretariat checks every party against UNIONE™, its Fellows and the Federation. Nobody reads the merits until it is clear.
5. Fellow appointed
Named Fellow. The Secretariat appoints a Fellow with the right jurisdictions; the Fellow declares independence online before opening the file.
6. Fellow's review
Named Fellow · 7 working days. The Fellow reviews the clause and the enforcement position and writes the fixes.
7. You adopt the fixes
You. You see the fixes on your page, adopt them in the contract and confirm (the clock pauses while you do).
8. Second-Fellow check
Second Fellow · 2 working days. A second Fellow checks the adopted version.
9. Certificate and Registry entry
UNIONE™ software · 1 working day. The DPC™ certificate is issued with its number and fingerprint, and the Registry entry goes live.

The software and AI in this service
Before you pay: DPC™ checkpoints. The dispute clause tested against the DPC™ checkpoints, the right tier and a draft model-clause variant. It runs on UNIONE™'s own servers and sends nothing to an AI provider.
On submission, UNIONE™'s pre-check, run on our own servers, tells you what is missing before a Fellow starts (an unsigned schedule, no governing law, a counterparty without its legal name).
- Once the conflict check clears, the Fellow receives an AI brief: structure, key dates, the clauses that drive the DPC™ checkpoints. The Fellow decides every finding.
- Choose "no AI" on the form for a human-only review.
- AI provider: OpenAI, under business API terms that do not allow training on your data.
Application guide: the form, field by field
Fields marked * are required. The live analysis shows what is missing before you pay, and you can save your answers and continue later.
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Contract title * | As it appears on the cover page, with the version or date. |
| Type of contract * | Choose the closest option. Options: Supply or distribution · EPC or construction · Services or outsourcing · Joint venture or shareholders · Licence or technology · Finance or lending · Other. |
| Other party or parties: legal names and countries * | Full legal names and countries of every other party; this drives the conflict check. |
| Contract value * | Over the full term. Options: Under USD 1 million · USD 1–10 million · USD 10–100 million · Over USD 100 million · Not financial / not sure. |
| Contract term * | Choose the closest option. Options: Under 1 year · 1–3 years · 3–10 years · Over 10 years. |
| Governing law * | As stated, or "not stated". |
| Seat of arbitration in the current draft (if any) | Only if the current draft names one. |
| Paste the dispute clause (the software runs the DPC™ checkpoints now) | Plain words are enough; the Fellow or the software will ask if anything is unclear. |
| Where the contract is now * | DPC™ works at every stage; in performance it focuses on change and notice mechanisms. Options: Draft under negotiation · Signed, not yet performing · In performance. |
| What worries you most about this contract? | What you would most like the review to settle. |
| Public DPC™ Registry entry * | Full is the strongest signal to lenders; private still allows verification by number. Options: Full: contract title, parties, tier and status · Limited: DPC™ number, tier and status only · Private: verification by number only. |
| Do the parties want a Standing Neutral? * | A Standing Neutral needs both parties' agreement. Options: Yes, both parties agree · Yes, subject to the other party · No. |
| Upload the contract and any schedules * | The contract and all schedules; the certificate fingerprint is taken from the final version. |
| Your details * | Name, work e-mail, organisation, country and phone. The e-mail becomes your private account; no password to set, you sign in with a one-time code. |
| No AI on my documents | Tick it and no AI touches your file: the Fellow reads the documents without the AI first read, and the software analysis before payment runs on UNIONE™'s own rules only. |

Frequently asked questions
Does DPC™ mean the contract is enforceable?
No. DPC™ certifies that the contract was reviewed under the DPC™ framework and records the outcome. It does not certify validity or enforceability in any country.
What happens if we amend the contract?
The certificate is tied to the version reviewed by its fingerprint. An amendment needs a new review; Comprehensive renews the certificate at each review point.
Can the other party see our DPC™?
The Registry shows what you choose. Anyone can verify a number you give them.
Do both parties have to apply?
No. Either party can apply. A Standing Neutral needs both parties' agreement.
Which tier do we need?
Clause-Only checks the dispute clause and its enforcement; Standard reviews the whole contract's dispute risk; Comprehensive adds a Standing Neutral and reviews for the life of the contract.
What exactly is on the certificate?
The DPC™ number, the tier, the contract title and version fingerprint (SHA-256 of the file reviewed), the outcome, the reviewing Fellow, the issue date and the Registry level you chose. A verifier types the number into the Registry and sees the same record.
How is the DPC™ number protected against misuse?
The number is tied to the fingerprint of the exact file reviewed. A changed contract produces a different fingerprint, so a certificate cannot be moved to another document. Withdrawn certificates show as withdrawn in the Registry.
What is the Standing Neutral and what does it cost?
A Fellow appointed for the life of the contract who receives early-warning notices, convenes the parties at checkpoints and gives non-binding views, so problems are solved while the project still runs. It is part of DPC™ Comprehensive and needs both parties' agreement; its retainer is set out in the quote.
We adopt the fixes but the counterparty refuses one of them. What then?
The Fellow records the position. A certificate can still issue with the outcome stated, or you can withdraw and be refunded for the stages not yet done, as the Refund policy sets out.
How long does the certificate last?
For the life of the contract version it names. Comprehensive renews the certificate at each review point; any amendment to a Clause-Only or Standard certificate needs a new review of the changed version.
Do I need an account first?
No. Run the application: enter the matter, see the live analysis and the plan, then pay at the end (or request the quote). We create your private account from your email so you can follow every step. Already have one? It is linked automatically, and you open it with a one-time code.
How do I pay?
By card on Stripe's secure page, in USD, EUR or GBP. UNIONE™ never sees your card details. An invoice is issued automatically.
Is my information confidential?
Yes. Orders and applications are confidential, handled by named people after a conflict check, and never shared without your consent except as the law requires.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, depending on the stage the work has reached. The Refund policy sets it out service by service.
Is AI used on my documents?
Only to prepare: the live analysis before payment runs on UNIONE™'s own rules on our servers, and after the Secretariat clears the conflict check an AI first read gives the Fellow a map of the file. Nothing reaches an AI provider before then. A named Fellow makes every finding. Tick "No AI on my documents" on the form and the AI first read is skipped; the Fellow works from the documents alone.
