🎓 UNIONE™ Neutrals Academy

The credential that makes the UNIONE™ panel different from every other.

UNIONE™-certified arbitrators and neutrals carry a credential that reflects institutional training in the UNIONE™ system — the ERR, prevention protocols, AI evidence rules, and the full four-stage framework. It is the only credential in arbitration that is institution-specific and publicly verifiable.

Certification Pathways

Two certification levels.
One institutional standard.

UNIONE™ Academy certification has two levels — Foundation and Advanced. Both involve assessment, not just attendance. Credentials are awarded only to candidates who can demonstrate competence in UNIONE™ procedures.

📘
Foundation Certificate
UNIONE™-F · All Tracks
The Foundation Certificate covers the complete UNIONE™ framework — all four stages, the Rules v3.0 architecture, and the ERR. It is the entry-level requirement for UNIONE™ panel membership for arbitrators with fewer than 10 years' practice.
1
Module 1 — The UNIONE™ System · Four-stage framework, institutional architecture, Rules v3.0 overview, Secretariat functions and case management
2
Module 2 — Prevention & Resolution · Stage 1 and Stage 2 in depth, DPC framework, Standing Neutral appointment and conduct, structured resolution protocols
3
Module 3 — Arbitration Procedures · Notice of Arbitration to Award, tribunal constitution, hearing procedures, Article 28 AI evidence protocol
4
Module 4 — ERR & Enforcement · Enforcement Readiness Review process, Enforceability Certificate tiers, Article 38 obligations, practical enforcement strategy
5
Assessment · Written examination (3 hours) + practical case exercise. 70% pass mark required.
📗
Advanced Certificate
UNIONE™-A · Senior Panel
The Advanced Certificate is for experienced arbitrators and neutrals seeking designation as Senior Panel members — eligible for appointment on complex cases over USD 5M. It requires prior completion of the Foundation Certificate or equivalence assessment.
1
Module 1 — Complex Arbitration under UNIONE™ Rules · Multi-party, multi-contract, and bifurcated proceedings, tribunal secretary roles, jurisdictional challenges
2
Module 2 — AI Evidence in Depth · Article 28 applied: authentication standards, expert verification requirements, appointing technical experts, handling AI-generated evidence in complex disputes
3
Module 3 — ERR Advanced Practice · Award Review Committee perspective, drafting awards for high enforceability, responding to Tribunal Observations, Jurisdiction-Specific Certificate guidance
4
Module 4 — Sector Specialisms · Advanced training in at least one specialist sector (Technology/AI, Energy, Construction, Finance, Maritime, M&A, Life Sciences, or ESG)
5
Assessment · Oral examination (60 mins) + complex case study exercise. Peer review component. 75% pass mark required.
Why It Matters

A credential that parties can verify. Not just a line on a CV.

The problem with most arbitration credentials is that they attest to attendance, not competence. UNIONE™ Academy certificates are issued only on passing assessed examinations. Every UNIONE™-F and UNIONE™-A credential is publicly verifiable on the Panel Directory — parties can confirm, before any appointment, that a candidate is Academy-certified.

UNIONE™ Academy certification is also the route to the most active and well-remunerated arbitration caseload on the institution. Senior-certified arbitrators are the default appointment for Complex Track cases — where case values are highest and institutional support is deepest.
