For the last 6 years I have been an Expert Witness in over 30 cases, mainly USA and UK intellectual property disputes. Prior to that I was a Gartner analyst covering mobile app development and advanced technologies including AI, a software entrepreneur, interim executive, and software engineer. My evidence has been specifically praised by three judges.

I am the Principal of Concept Gap and a seasoned technical expert witness with over 30 years of experience in software innovation and design. A "battle-hardened" entrepreneur and former Gartner analyst, Richard has written hundreds of thousands of lines of code and numerous technical reports. I specialize in communicating complex technical subjects such that juries, judges, tribunals, and counsel can understand the key factors without over simplifying. I have been instrumental in securing over $2 billion in compensation. Beyond IP and trade secrets, my practice encompasses high-profile confidential matters involving complex data analysis and cybersecurity breaches, where I deconstruct "black-box" systems to provide forensic clarity.
